From emerging gestures to tactile sign language webinar

Steve Rose has been a practicing Speech and Language Therapist for nearly 20 years. He has skills in engagement and assessment of people with multiple disability. His interests include deafblindness, sensory impairment, autism, cerebral palsy and rare diseases. Steve is passionate about developing evidence-based practices. He has a strong focus on parent-child interaction, communication competency and early intervention.

Steve will share his knowledge around developing communication in people with deafblindness. Topics covered will be:
– tactile language use
– gestures and expressions
– communication exchanges
– concept development, and cultural expressions

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.

The session will be Auslan interpreted and live captioned.

Time: 4:00pm – 5:30pm AWST / 7:00pm – 8:30pm AEDT

Cost: Grant funded. No charge to attend.
